Welcome » Louis's EMBROIDERED POSTCARDS

Discover nearly 2000 Embroidered Postcards belonging to a passionate collector

In this article we will show you a collection of these cards and their different themes, such as the seasons, celebrations, messages, souvenirs and war memorabilia.......

Louis, my husband, will recount their story. He can also, if you wish, explain the origins of the cards you may possess.

With my love for everything associated with textile threads, materials and embroidery, it was bound to happen one day, at an antiques market, that I fell for an embroidered postcard !

But ..... that sudden impulse has been very catching and Louis too, threw himself passionately into the search for these embroidered images. Which is how, some years later, we find ourselves with a collection of over 2000 cards.!

During this time, in April 2005, we had a book published by 'Mango' (Embroidered Postcards, Revue of a Collector) which illustrates a small selection of our collection.

Since, our global vision of this postal art has grown, and with it our knowledge .

We are going to show you a > Gallery  of embroidered cards, which we will change regularly. We will give you an insight to the existing > themes, as well as their >history.

We will talk about their >origin and value . Above all, we shall try to convey our passion to you !
